The Area of Ste Foy La Grande. At the point where three of France’s administrative departments meet – Gironde, Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne – the Pays Foyen is a little corner of Périgord. Set between Saint-Emilion to the west and Bergerac to the east, this delightful 14th-century fortified town is just waiting to be discovered: its narrow streets, square with arcades, half-timbered houses, etc... The Pays Foyen offers a surprising range of nautical activities (canoeing, boat trips, rowing,...) and leisure activities (horse riding, flying, cycling, tennis, mountain biking...) and a great many crafts, but also festivals and events all year long.
